Government grants of up to £9,000 towards a heat pump
Most homes receive £7,500 through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. If your property is off the gas grid and heated by oil or LPG, a temporary uplift raises this to £9,000 until 31 March 2027.
Boiler Upgrade Scheme 2026
What you could receive
The grant is installer-led, which means Gwella Group applies to Ofgem and deducts the amount from your quote.
Standard Boiler Upgrade Scheme rate
For homes heated by mains gas, electric storage heaters or coal.
Off-gas-grid oil or LPG homes
Temporary uplift available until 31 March 2027. Only for properties with no mains gas meter that are currently heated by oil or LPG.
Vouchers applied for before 21 July 2026 are capped at £7,500. The £9,000 uplift runs from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027 and is subject to government confirmation.

How it works
From eligibility check to switched-on system
The scheme is installer-led, so we handle the Ofgem application, the voucher and the claim.
We check your eligibility
An MCS heat-loss survey confirms the right system and that your property qualifies under the scheme rules.
We apply to Ofgem for your voucher
As an MCS-certified installer, we make the installer-led application and handle the paperwork on your behalf.
The grant is deducted from your quote
The grant comes off the price before you pay anything. You never handle the grant money or fill in government forms.
We install and redeem within 120 days
We complete the installation and claim the voucher within 120 days of commissioning, so nothing is left outstanding.

What we don't do
Gwella Group is a private-paid installer. We don't deliver ECO4 or the Great British Insulation Scheme. If you're looking for a fully funded installation on a low-income or benefits basis, we'll point you in the right direction rather than waste your time.
